And now!

It's hard to get a good picture of the whole effect...and I still need to redo the ribbon on the baskets I stole from the girls former nursery! The "folding table" is a piece of scrap wood the guy at Lowes sold me for $1. It pays to ask! I painted it the same color as the cabinets and it serves it's function, but it bothers me that the dryer sits about an inch higher than the washer because of the leveling feet, so I had to put a towel under the washer side to try to level them. Not the seamless finished product I was looking for so if anyone has any brilliant ideas on this, lemme know!
I used the same hardware just took off the weird decorative plate off from under them and spray painted them the same color as the towel rod and knobs on the vanity so they'd all match. Cheap!

New light fixture, just the commercial grade stuff from Home Depot, but I like it.

I think the color offsets the sink and granite better. Someday I think the brass faucet needs to go, but what do you do about the drain thingy in the sink that is brass too??? Tricky.

...some light reading for the three year olds in my life.
Organized shelves! The right side is all my tools, cleaning and small paint supplies, the middle section is my laundry chute.

and the left side is for laundry supplies, with room to grow!

Check this out...

It appears the original washer and dryer in this house were Whirlpools too! It was meant to be:) So I hope you like my "new" laundry/main bath! I wish I could say I'm a laundry machine now but this is a makeover not a miracle people! I do love my new washer and dryer though, worth every penny!

I LOVE the new laundry and bath! TOTALLY impressed, E! Looks awesome and hip! I love the blue against the white. My fav!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so great!!! WOW! If you do end up replacing the faucet, the faucet should come with the drain part too, so you would get rid of all the brass. It's pretty simple to replace. We have the same washer/dryer combo- love love love love!! Can you raise your washer up to meet the dryer? Ours sit level- is there some reason why your dryer has to be higher up? I would think as long as the washer stayed level you could raise it up- unless the floor is uneven. Another solution might be to mount the folding table above the washer/dryer, just high enough so the height difference isn't as noticeable. Awesome job- two thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily, that's what I hear about the faucet...silly of me not to know that I guess:) ha. I'm not sure why they don't sit level...well the dryer has leveling feet, but the washer does not. The floor is pretty level, so I'm not quite sure. I did think about mounting it, but wasn't feeling that ambitious. :)
ReplyDeleteSo nice! That looks great! (so much better than my washer and dryer in our scary unfinished basement!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I am very impressed. It looks great! :)
