I have a list of fun things I'd like to be working on...but I think (know) that when my dresser project is done my time would be much better spent decluttering and making our house more functional. I've attempted this before and was sort of successful, but even with the extra space in our new house...clutter adds up and makes me, and my hubby, crabby!
Of course I found some great ideas online here and here. I especially love the 80/20 rule mentioned in the clutter cubed website...that would be SO effective and at the same time hard to stick to!
So we'll see how far I get. Care to join me??? I read somewhere a rule about giving away 5 thing a week, big or small, doesn't matter but out of the house. I'm going to do just that, and I'll blog about it that way maybe I'll actually do it!
Erika, go to www.flylady.net. I tried to do it but only lasted a little while. They offer great tips on keeping your house clutter-free and clean and even have a day-to-day month long program to help get you there. It's worth a shot!

ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you on decluttering... if I didn't have 50 million other things to do. After the wedding I say... and I hope to stick to it ;) Just a thought, IKEA has a huge home storage/organization department... look online and if you see anything, I can stick things in our van for you when I come back in May ;)
